Saga Pants (Tights)
I LOVE the saga pants! I do not agree with the other reviewer..the pants fits perfectly. I am 5 ft 4 inches and 112 lbs and they hug me perfectly. Today I wore them x-country skiing and it was a cold day and they kept me warm, they moved really well and I felt like they made me look great. My new favorite winter pants!
There is the good and the bad about this new version of the Saga Tight
I have been wearing the Saga Tights for the last 12 years. The latest version has a wonderful wide waistband that I love. Gone are the ankle zippers which I don’t miss. However, now the legs are no longer snug. They are now so big and baggy that someone with slender legs finds themselves swimming in them. Now they fit like baggy pants and they are no longer tights. It’s time for Sporthill to update their description of them and create a new pair of tights once again!
Saga Tight
I love how these fit - snug and extremely comfortable, but not too tight. I live in NE Oregon where it can get cold in all seasons. I'll be taking these on fall and spring rafting trips, summer backpacking trips, and XC ski outings at high elevation. I've worn this fabric before and have truly needed it when the weather turned and I got wet. So happy to have something this well-made and comfy.
Saga Tight
I’ve worn three different versions of the Saga and this is my favorite by far. The wider waistband and more room in the seat to make it not pull down when I’m running (and skiing) . I’m on the larger size of a medium and though they are a dense fabric, they fit like a tight on me with a little wiggle room at the bottom so they will fit over my cross country ski boots. I use these in the summer for my warm backpacking pant/pajama and in the winter for running, XC skiing, and as a base layer under a shell for downhill skiing. Very useful and warm!
Saga Tight
Very disappointed with the new Saga Tight
I Loved the old style Saga II. Fit well and very flattering
All year I waited patiently for Sporthill to fulfill their promise of returning to the previous "old" style/cut. Last year's version was baggy thigh (jodhpur style). Uncomfortable and "poochie" looking.
I received new version yesterday and was disappointed with baggy thigh again. Slight improvement but not enough
I will return my items
Great pants but unpredictable in sizing.
I have been buying these tights for over a decade. They have been the warmest, most comfortable ones I have ever owned and they made some nice changes with the new wasteland and removing the zippers. However, legs are cut so big this year that they are no longer tights. There are extra folds in them all the way to the upper thighs. The fit is still perfect in the waste band and hips, so you can’t size down as suggested and on both pairs the left leg was an inch and a half larger than the right.
Awesome winter legging.
I have had two pair of Sporthill winter running pants made with 3SP fabric. They are outstanding for winter running in Minnesota. They are warm, block the wind, soft on the inside, and reasonably nice looking. They don't get seem to ever get wet (even in rain and driving sleet), and are my go-to for errands and casual wear. The fit of the Saga legging is more snug on the lower than on the upper leg--a little bit like jodphurs--but it works. A great pant!
Perfect winter hiking tight
I have used the 3SP products in the past for snowshoeing and had been pleased. When I was in the market for something to wear for winter hiking, I came straight to Sporthill and ordered the Saga tights. I hiked this weekend in a snowstorm that resulted in plowing through about 1.5' of snow (without snowshoes). Temps dipped down to 15. These tights performed well - warm and dry. Even when the temp warmed up and I sweated while climbing, they breathed perfectly and I stayed dry. I highly recommend! I love the tall size options.
Love this Tight
I wore the Saga tight while alpine touring. They had great flexibility and kept me the perfect temperature the whole time, even though the temperature swing from sun to shade was 30 degrees. They fit into my ski boots no problem. Also, I love how they come in different lengths. I highly recommend.
