We’ve updated this best selling pant to give it a little more room in the hips and a slightly slimmer fit through the thighs. It’s still made from our fabulous and durable 3SP® fabric. This comfortable winter pant has a flat front, elastic back waistband, and a jean’s like straight-leg fit. It features two reverse coil spring lock zippered side pockets and a comfort rise that sits about 1 inch below the belly button. **Note: We recommend that you wash garments with 3SP fabric inside out to protect the outer surface. Hang dry, do not put in the clothes dryer.

I see in the sizing where the SMALL LONG is supposed to be 31.5 inches, I would have kept these pants if that was the case, they were no longer than 26 or 27 inches.
I love Sporthill, I was really looking forward to skiing in my new 3SP's this winter. I ordered a pair of the factory seconds in a SMALL LONG, when they came it was obvious the reason they were seconds- they were miss-labeled as small long when in actuality they were SMALL SHORT- 30" instead of 34". I tried to explain this on my return/exchange request because I really wanted these pants, but was refunded instead. I am disappointed but give 3 stars overall because the service was prompt
I've had multiple pairs of these over the last 15 years. They do last well, but I've gained weight so needed to invest in another size. They look good -- I've worn them for travel. They block the wind and are warm -- for walking the dog in winter wind and snow. They breathe well for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. I'm a big fan. I got the factory seconds because of the great price, and the only thing wrong with them was a small fabric flaw in a place I'll never notice it.
Can not find the defect yet. Seem thinner than my ancient ( thank you for that durability) 3SP XC pant , although advertised as the same fabric. Fit is good, hope these last as long as the originals, now going on twenty years, with wear as XC pants and daily wear in sub-zero Minnesota weather.
These pants are a great fit. I checked them over thoroughly for defects. I found a pocket seam where the stitching showed but that will not affect the wear of these pants nor the look. I love the material they are made from as it doesn’t attract dog hair. I will be purchasing more of these
I have about 5 pair of these pants purchased at LLBean Store a couple of years ago and love them. These that I ordered have a different waist band and are longer. I bought 2 pair and will kept one but return the other pair.
I have been buying these for years, usually at full price. I just tried the factory seconds. They are great. I cannot find why they were rated seconds. I will order more. I live in a cold winter climate and these are perfect for everything from skiing, casual outings, grocery store run, etc. You can’t go wrong here !!!
I have always appreciated 3SP pants and still wear a pair from the mid 90's. These pants are straight legged and I do not find the leg openings to be too wide. They fit well in the waist and hips and are the appropriate length. I think the defect making them a second is a spot on the waistband that looks like it was heated too much, but it should not interfere with its use or longevity. They are perfect for wearing at any time and will be very useful for hiking, xc-skiing and snowshoeing.
I wear some sort of 3SP Pant every cold winter day. Traverse pants are for "around town". They are great. Happy to try out a "factory second" from SportHill. I am only giving it 4 stars because: - looks like I am going to have to SHORTEN these petite Traverse pants (which I have not had to do in the past). - I wish SportHill offered some colors (I have tan from years ago-lovely). I suggest a sage green or a burgundy. -Pockets should be a little deeper. But these pants really are wonderfully warm and functional and also don't look too wonky (like the more active styles), highly recommended for non-skiing/biking activities.
