Just received this. Fit is the same as the black one I bought a few years ago. This one has a new innovation with side vents in the back to release perspiration and help it breath which should be good but the logos on this one are plastic and fused to the jacket. So at some point even with cold washing and air drying they will crack and peel. My older model has Sporthill sewn on the jacket so it will last forever! Bring back the sewn logos. Little details... Editor's note: thank you for your review. The embroidered logo on the older version ran the risk of damaging the fabric so we switched to the heat transfer label.
I was very happy to purchase this Super xc jacket...and when i put it on i was very satisfied/ nice fit...i am 6feet@ 180 lbs/ enjoy the winter outdoors.
This jacket has many features I like. Wind block to 25 mph. I wear it under my ski parka when the wind is blowing and the temp is in the single digits. The collar covers my neck; the length covers my hips. The chest pocket is OK; the side pockets zip shut. It has little bulk. It has a drawstring at the hips. I bought it one size up since I have other jackets for biking and xcountry skiing. I'm 5 ft 1 1 inches about 176 lbs and usually wear a size 40 suit jacket. (who wears a suit anymore.)
I’m 5’10” 170lbs. 33 waist. I find the jacket extremely snug. Too snug for very free movement with any warm under shirts My have to return.
Getting pants in the future, I know this is the only place to get them. I run a lot so the one I bought which is the Men's Super XC Jacke fits in me. I think I need gloves
While Houston does not always come to mind as a place where temps can really drop (it can), this past weekend I had the opportunity to put the XC jacket to work. I had wanted a jacket that would provide a good fit and temp capabilities for down into the 20's for sure. And the XC delivered. Ran in 34 degree, 15 mph wind, wind chill at 24 or so weather as a front blew through with no issues. Warm, wind resistant, and nice snug fit. Did not overheat. Keep doing what you do with your gear.
Very nice looking jacket (I chose the sodalite blue in large). Fits true to size and is light weight but quite warm and does a good job in protecting from wind. Very comfortable and allows for a good range of motion while XC skiing.
