Top Rated Running Pants & Tights
Cold Weather Running Pants, Tights & Leggings by SportHill
A runners choice for the best running pants for the winter has grown dramatically in the last 30 years. During the early years of the running boom in the late 1970’s, runners were often seen logging miles in heavy cotton sweats, wind suits that didn’t breathe, and for the serious runner, a pair of nylon shorts over cotton long johns. All of those options usually resulted in overheating, getting drenched in rain or ones’ own sweat, and arriving home cold, wet, and generally miserable.
For temperatures below 60 F runners should choose from a company that rates the temperature range of their clothing. Some runners may decide to layer clothing, as has been the industry mantra for years. A select few companies have decided to offer running pants and tops tailored to a specific temperature range.
