Men's 3SP XC Pant
I have five pairs of these. I do love them. I bought my first pair in the 2000's and honestly they are still going strong despite he fabric thinning from use. In the late 20-teens, about six years ago I bought two more pairs. Sadly, the quality of the zippers appeared to be less than the original. The zippers on the pockets failed first and quite quickly. I sewed them shut. Recently, and it is what inspired this comment, the zippers on the lower leg on these two pairs failed as well. I will sew them closed as well. The fabric on these pairs also appears to not be as tough as the original pair. I am very hard on my gear, I bike, hike, rock climb, ice climb, xc ski, snow shoe and climb trees in them and I used to brag about how tough the fabric was. These new pairs just haven't been as tough. Two years ago, I bought two more pairs, more because I was worried that the pant would be discontinued! I pulled out one pair because I needed something a little more dressy, haha, and my three old pairs all had sewing jobs showing on the buttocks and leg area. This new pair from circa 2024 got a hole in them very fast. This led me to believe the material quality has deteriorated even more. My pair from the 2000's, despite being relegated to winter cycling on muddy and salty roads have held up the best. I do still love the product, though I am somewhat disappointed in the reduced durability I am seeing.

I live in Maryland and have been wearing Sporthill running pants for about five years with great comfort and satisfaction. I have recently purchased Sporthill men’s 3 SP pants. I am very happy with the warmth the quality, the comfort and the adaptability of the running pants that also can be used for skiing. I recommend this product highly!

Almost Forever
Super high quality! Used for biking, skiing, luge and these pants just wear great. A little thinner than they used to be, but very happy with the quality. A great investment that has never let me down.
Excellent cold weather pants
Great quality, super warm for XC ski and winter running in Colorado mountains. Tough fabric. Nice slim fit. Bought medium for 34-35 waist. Fits well
3SP XC pant
bought them for bike riding (replacement for pair with 15k miles that show wear) ... also bought a pair for curling as they work better than curling pants since they are warmer and very flexible
MENS 3SP Pant
I bought them as a back up pair, haven’t worn them XC skiing yet, but did try them on. Have 19 hours on snow so far this year, have worn the other pair and one of two, 3SP tops every time I’ve skied this season, and for a good share of my 48 American Birkebeiner races, used your products for many years, still have your original vest, fortunate to have met Jim Hill, the year he attended the Birkie, LOVE Your Products!
Cycling in cold weather
Bought the XC pants for mountain biking in Idaho in winter. Rode with them on a 36° day nice and toasty. Probably wouldn't wear them if was any warmer.
This is my 5th pair
Need I say more? We keep our house cool in winter and these pants are perfect for indoor and outdoor activities. They are also great for hikes and I play pickleball in them outdoors all winter because they are warm, but breathe enough to be comfortable .
Love the seam down the front leg.
The only downside is the fabric does pill a LOT and picks up lint, cat hair and dust. Not a dealbreaker for me.
Thank you for your feedback Joy. We have found that if this pant, or any of our garments made from 3sp fabric , are pulled inside out before washing the pill issue should decrease.
Perfect Three Season 3SP XC PANT
This is my favorite outdoor pant and I use it for: snow sports, climbing, hiking, running, foraging mushrooms/plants, canoeing, kayaking, clamming, crabbing, beach.
